And That’s a Wrap!
Well what a year 2015 has been, my pack has worked extra hard – and a couple of them are still working hard right up to the wire as they rush to get their clients into their properties in time for Christmas.
Over the past 12 months, the wider Origin Group has gone from a predominantly NSW based company to one which increasingly supports mortgage broking across the country.
Simone has done a fabulous job making sure that the training company delivers high quality course across the country. By my reckoning, we have had 50 face-to-face trainees per month, and about the same amount who have done the courses via distance learning.
Quite how she organises courses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane is beyond me.
Julie has provided great back-up for Simone and then managed the students who have subsequently chosen to join my group. By a rough count (admittedly I don’t have that many paws to count on) I now have 75 loan writers in my pack. And Julie has brought on board eight new brokers this month alone.
I have given the gang a target of reaching 100 brokers by the end of 2016.
The past 12 months have been really exciting for Chris as he has built his business from scratch. He has assiduously gone out to find clients, welcomed referred business and even just signed a lucrative joint venture with a big group of accountants in North Sydney. Of course, he has a big swanky wedding to pay for which has concentrated his mind way more than any stretch targets I could give him!
Of course Doug remains the driving force behind my Group. There is a vicious rumour going around that he is my owner, but I know who is Top-Dog. He provides wise counsel to the newer members of my pack and generates lots of creative ideas to keep us all going.
Graeme will boast that he is a successful broker, who manages my business nationwide. We all know that he just likes collecting Frequent Flyer points!
I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
I hope my pack comes back next year fully-rested – because we have much to do, including a rebranding exercise.
See you in 2016.
Henry
